Mt. Vernon, at Qing Ming

Selected Poems from DPS (S) #03

Mt. Vernon, at Qing Ming

It seems like only yesterday
that we lost them
the memories are so fresh

We lit the candles and the incense
rearranged the fruits and food
and with clasped hands
bowed to loved ones long gone
remembering sweet secrets we shared
and licked by hungry flames
paper offerings
their ashes fluttered
like unfulfilled dreams
and shifting in the wind
with the smoke and the chatter
a hint of frangipani

It seems like only yesterday
that we lost them
the portraits are so new.

DP,
thanks for posting my poem.
my website hardly have any updates now, thanks to 1) busy days in the office, 2) DPS (S) 3) blog.
Must drag myself over there to do some work.

Is interesting, blogging.
About inverse, you said nobody speak like that anymore, how come you like it now? :)

Hey SM,

You mean your school is near there? Or you live around there?
